Feed My Sheep seeks to use the foundations laid in the GAPS diet to provide the most nourishing meals possible to those suffering.
The GAPS diet was designed over 25 years ago by Natasha McBride who is a Russian medical doctor and holds PhDs in human nutrition and neurology. The diet was built upon the research of an earlier healing diet called the Special Carbohydrate Diet. Dr. McBride also used her knowledge of traditional Russian healing foods such as broth and fermented foods to develop the plan.
McBride’s initial motivation was to heal the digestive problems of her 3 year old son. After he experienced profound healing, she opened a clinic and spent the next two decades healing thousands of people from numerous chronic ailments using the diet.
Through her two books, Gut and Psychology Syndrome, and Gut and Physiology Syndrome, thousands have found relief from autoimmune diseases, inflammatory diseases, neurological problems, and other complex issues.
The GAPS diet has one of the best track records of any diet in healing ailments that have no other treatments. At Feed My Sheep, we believe that soup has . And although we can make no promises for any specific outcomes, we believe that nourishing soups have benefits for everyone.
